Welcome to the website for the Western Reserve Region of the Cadillac LaSalle Club, which is based in northeast Ohio.
Our annual planning meeting will be held on:
· Saturday, November 7, 2016 10:00 A.M.
· One Bratenahl Place
· Bratenahl, Ohio 44108
Our good friend Chris Axelrod has returned from Las Vegas and has moved back to his condo in Bratenahl. Chris has graciously arranged for us to conduct our meeting in the penthouse meeting room. The view of Cleveland from this room is fantastic. Bagels, donuts, and coffee will be available in the morning and lunch will be served around noon. The meeting should adjourn by 1:00 P.M.
We will need a headcount for lunch purposes, please let Rick know by October 28 if you plan on attending.
Important Notice from Co-Director Rick Jablonski: As a reminder, we are approaching the annual meeting in November where officers are chosen and events are planned. In case you are not aware Larry Murray and I are stepping down as directors and Carole Murray will no longer manage the web.
In order for the club to continue we will need a few members to step up and if not, we risk not being able to continue as an affiliate in this region. In my opinion the following needs to happen to secure the future of this club:
1. We need a Director who is able to lead this club with some fresh ideas and has time to promote the club and it’s activities and be able to arrange activities with other car clubs and regions.
2. We need to secure dealership support. We need a dealer who provides a meeting place for the club on a regular basis and helps sponsor our activities and hosts an annual show.
3. We need a social director who schedules and arranges places to meet for social events, whether it be bi-monthly evening dinners at local restaurants on different sides of town or a short Sunday afternoon drive with our classics.
4. We need a Webmaster who can publish beautiful monthly colored newsletters on a website for the Club
5. Regular monthly meetings on same day and time so that new ideas and planning is always fresh.
If the right person or persons can come in and make these five things happen, this club will be vibrate and have a long future.
With that, I ask that each of you consider whether you can be that candidate or candidates to help make this happen. If you are, send me an email and we will get your name on the ballot for November. I really hope we can put a new team in place because the alternative is really not fun given the legacy this club has shared.
Our 16th Annual Clambake and Car Show was another huge success! Beautiful weather, plenty of delicious food, and all those gorgeous automobiles! Thank you, Rick and Patti, for hosting this event again. Everyone always looks forward to it. To see photos, click here
We held our first Garage-Fest -- breakfast in the garage! And what a garage is was! We had a nice crowd turn out for the unveiling of Larry Ciganek's new garage -- and the guys all had "garage envy." Kathy did an incredible job with the food, thanks to help from some of our members. Thank you, Kathy and Larry, for hosting this fun new event! To see photos from the Garage-Fest, click here
We had four couples from our region attend the 2015 Cadillac LaSalle Club Grand National in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Thank you Doug Berg for sharing some photos of the event! To see Doug's photos, click here
Our annual Gathering of the Land Yachts held on June 7 was a huge success with over 60 cars participating on one of the few sunny Sunday’s we have had so far this year. Those who came had a great time and we had a significant amount of visitors at the show as well. Click here

Anyone looking for a new addition to their Cadillac "collection?" Chuck Johnson bought a 1986 Seville d'Elegance from Gump Cadillac in Toledo when it was almost new. It was Mrs. Gump's personal car, and before that, it was a featured car at the Detroit Auto Show. It's in a subtle two-tone grey-green, with matching leather interior. It has 50K miles, and all options except moon roof. WRR member Bob Porter thinks, in spite of the luxury equipment, that it's worth about $4,500. Bob thinks Chuck will entertain offers, as the car is seldom used. Chuck lives in Lambertville MI, which is just over the Toledo line, but the car is in a carriage house in Toledo. His phone number in Michigan is 734-856-3094. Give him a call if you think you might be interested!

OUR PURPOSE: The Cadillac LaSalle Club was initially founded to encourage enthusiasts to maintain, preserve, and restore collectible Cadillacs and LaSalles built from 1902-1942. Now the CLC recognizes all vehicles built by Cadillac. We promote the development, collection, publication and exchange of helpful information pertaining to our cars. We also promote social fellowship for club members.
