SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2009:

The Ohio Region CCCA invites you to a Winter Event to be held Saturday Evening March 28th. beginning at 7:30 PM, at the Place Theater on Playhouse Square, Cleveland. As a substitute but now defunct Carousel Dinner Theater, we offer a Night at the Palace. Broadway Star Tommy Tune teams up with The Manhatten Rhythm Kings in a Broadway style review. For those of you who may not know of him, he is a legend.....all 6'6" of him, usually wearing a white tuxedo. The group favors music from the 20s, 30s and 40s, especially Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and George Gershwin. We have a block of seats reserved in the first 4 rows of the mezzanine. The tickets are $27.00, but CCCA will subsidize their members $5.00, making this a very reasonable "night out". We are inviting the local AACA and Cadillac LaSalle clubs to join us. Their clubs will subsidize their members as well. There are three good restaurants adjacent to the theater, which is at 1515 Euclid, downtown Cleveland. If you want to eat out before the performance, I suggest one ofthese. Although they were not up to doing a private dinner for a large group on a theater night, you could go in small groups. Reservations should be made as early as possible at all three. Allow time to find a parking place and be out of the restaurant by 7 PM. BRICCO; 1438 Euclid, across the street from the Palace, great atmosphere, Italian cuisine, inexpensive. 216-621-8777.OTTO MOSERS; 1425 Euclid, dark and casual atmosphere, most entrees $11.95-$16.95. 216-771-3831.STAR; 1515 Euclid, more upscale, piano music. 216-621-8777.Reservations & Checks must be in by March 13th.
