WesternReserveRegion-CLC > SUNDAY, MARCH 2, 2008: BRUNCH AND CLEVELAND AUTO SHOW

This one is back on our calendar by popular demand. We will plan on meeting at the Home Town Buffet at 1930 Snow Road, Parma (216-661-8830) at 11:00 a.m. for brunch, after which we will go to the IX Center to see the latest at the Cleveland Auto Show. If you plan on attending, please let us know by Sunday, February 24, 2008 so we make arrangements for enough seating. Our phone number is 440-845-8554, or you can reach us by e-mail at irishmurr57@yahoo.com.
WesternReserveRegion-CLC > Roger and DeLoryes Hicks sent us these pictures to share with everyone. Here they are at what looks suspiciously like Central Cadillac, in front of their pristine 1958 Cadillac Brougham -- holding a picture of a Brougham!

WesternReserveRegion-CLC > DeLoryes and Roger Hicks saw this 1949 Cadillac in Indiana -- completely covered in pennies -- and brought this postcard back to share with us.

There are 38,295 pennies on the Caddy. They were adhered, one at a time, using silicone, and they added a little over 200 pounds to the car's weight. The entire project was accomplished over a period of six weeks in the summer of 1999.

All of the pennies were attached head-side up, except four which are tail-side up. All of the pennies are Americna, and include:
-- an 1817 "big cent"
-- two error pennies, and
-- four 1943 steel pennies.
